Day 2
Today was yet another busy day for us. We started the day with a panoramic bus tour of the beautiful city of Toledo. In all honesty, it was one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen in my life. We did some uphill walking which was only slightly gross. While in Toledo, we went to a synagogue and, my favorite, the cathedral. The architecture and intricate designs of the cathedral were stunning, I could have stayed in there all day. We went into where the chorus sings and each seat was engraved with different pictures and the organ was on a separate sort of loft and it was so amazing. Then during our free time, we went to the Madrid zoo and aquarium and I was sad because the aquarium was closed. I have never been a big fan of zoos because I don't like the principle of it, but this zoo was especially bad in my opinion. It seemed as though the zookeepers didn't really care much about the animals and some of the animals appeared to be unhealthy. For instance, there were Alaskan wolves and reindeer and both looked near death. The climates are very much so disparate, which is not good at all. Either way, today was fun and tiring.
